Photogrammetry does particularly bad with big areas like rooms where it has to figure out how every picture overlaps. In those cases it's still better to use a real 3d scanner like Matterport , that I bought to 3d scan my parents house. That one uses infrared to get depth. It's less sharp with individual objects, but for big spaces it works better.
Photogrammetry is cool new tech to play with. It's not perfect yet, but rapidly improving. And it's an example of a tech we need in the future to bridge the IRL world with the virtual. I know, I know, it looks demonic AF: Second, send your photos to your computer use Airdrop etc. These are some of the things I grappled with. I saw the potential, so I stuck with it until I found the solutions. In summary, the this app has powerful capacities, yet it currently requires the user to adapt to its capability at a deliberately moderate rate. You'd think paying 5 dollars would allow you to basically do whatever the app is actually designed to do, but it doesn't.
Don't bother trying to get corners to match up, or for the app to realise you've gone the full lap of a room without making multiple mistakes. Want to put in doors or windows after you've finished?

Want to not have to squint at every tiny badly displayed detail? Get your glasses out. This review is very old and may be for a completely different app. Exports including printing, saving etc are totally free and unrestricted, not as stated. Doors and windows are easy to add after the scan, simply by tapping the wall where you want them to go.

Any idiot trying to use this app for final installment should never be allowed to hold a sharp tool!
