This phone rings loud and she can hear the ringtone along with vibration much better than any of her old phones. I wanted something that was very simple to use, and this fits the bill. She likes this phone much better than the others she's had and is actually able to hold a decent conversation and tells me that she hears much better with it and doesn't have to remove her hearing aid another plus as she lost one when calling a cab for herself.
Great phone for the price and I can add minutes to it for her easily as I live miles away. I replaced my older and similar LG G with this updated model. Either a few keys or an outdated SIM card on my old phone started to become problematic after years of use. And that includes the same number of years of getting bumped around while sitting in the saddle bag of my bicycle while I'm out on the roads.
It comes with an AC charger and Lithium battery, and I did not have any problems associated with transferring my remaining days and minutes of service from my old phone. The software has been improved on the G and is simpler to use, not that it was terrible before. There was only one flip phone sold directly by Tracfone on their web-site for my area in Connecticut and I didn't like it for a number of reasons.
One of them, unlike this phone, was that it did not display remaining minutes and days of service.
LG Spy and Tracker Software
That said, for some reason, it took Tracfone tech reps about 30 minutes to activate this phone, but they eventually got it working. Their on-line activation did not work when I tried. But all and all, I was very happy with my older LG model and this one seems even better, with a somewhat larger screen. Finally, although it was somewhat difficult to find, I was ultimately able to locate and purchase a 12 volt car charger for this phone on Amazon. It's for an LG BG model but it seems to work.
This is the perfect phone for my older generation father. I use it simply for telephone, voice mail, it can text and has a camera, but I simply wanted a phone backup in my car, now I find I carry it with me all the time. It is easy to use, no fuss, no swipes, etc. I am going to buy another in case this not going to be made any more.
Highly recommend if you are a "low tech" person. Like the phone, price is reasonable. It has good sound. Easy to transfer my minutes and phone number. No need to get another phone number.

Really, this should be something you set up on any device you care about or that will have sensitive data stored on it, especially with how easy Google has made it to locate your device should you lose it.
Of course, one of the benefits of Android is having the freedom to customize your experience as you see fit. If for whatever reason Google's offering just doesn't cut it for you, you should consider the third-party options we've highlighted above, as they include some clever features that might give you some added peace of mind if your device goes missing. If your phone is stolen or found and it's then factory reset, you will not be able to rely on any apps or services to find it; a factory reset will wipe out any of the original data, accounts, or passwords that are needed to remotely find your Android phone.
As always, exercise caution when retrieving a lost or stolen phone. If you have any concerns about it being lost or stolen, it's best to set up and test your preferred tracking system as soon as you buy it and contact the police. It can be a bit of extra front-end work to register some apps, but it will be more work trying to locate a missing phone if no safety nets are in place at all.
