Titleist H Hybrid Review - Golfalot
Start neutral and work from there. I started my fitting in A1 with the neutral weight and worked from there. I play my D3 in A1 with a 14g weight in the fade setting. I play my F2 in D1 with the weight also in the fade setting. SureFit dates back to the driver and has been part of several generations of Titleist hybrids.
LOWER SPIN, HIGHER SPEED THROUGH NEW ACTIVE RECOIL CHANNEL
One of the most common complaints about hybrids is that some golfers hit them left of left. Moving mass to the toe-side can help eliminate that particular miss while making the head heel-heavy can help mitigate an overly aggressive fade slice. While that may not sound like much, Luttrell notes that moving the CG can help take the big miss out of play while also providing a more consistent shot shape. The final tool in the hybrid fitting toolbox is a stock and no-upcharge shaft lineup which I believe is without question the strongest in the industry. Titleist 913H Utility Club Review
Keep up the great work. The only golf review website I truly trust for the real deal info. I play the Mizuno JPX 2 and 3 hybrid no fairway woods thanks. They are simply awesome. These Titleist simply look beautiful and would have been on my buy list had I not just bought the JPX.
I thought my bag was set…….
Not a fan of Titleist clubs. I agree, I have never liked their irons , fairway woods, or drivers. I am a 5 handicap and I find their clubs shorter than most and on the unforgiving side. I think the sort of standard of 3 degrees between hybrids though is not a large enough gap. At least here with Titleist you can go every other club and have a 4 degree gap which makes a lot more sense. Would rather play a degree h1 and then a 20 degree h2 or h1 rather than carry a 4 wood.
Timing is Everything
Also, there is a lot more to proper gapping with hybrids than just loft. Yes they are adjustable lofts, but not without adjusting the face angle. Damn, I was just trying the s the other day along with the new Ping series and the Epic. Now I may have to wait until this becomes available…. Top notch review as always MGS!
Titleist seem to have given this range of hybrids a lot of thought in terms of the lofts and set ups as you go from 17 to 27 degrees. If you play multiple hybrids then we feel that the various H lofts will complement each other very well. Do this and you will be rewarded with great shots from one of the best hybrids around in the market for golfers from the low teens downwards.
