Reading the other reviews, I don't hear any white noise after updating to iOS Perhaps it's the old device you're using.
However, before the updates 2nd to last update via app I was getting some white noises. On the scary side, my wife said she heard someone breathing on our devices when our son is asleep in his room during those white noises?!? That only happened one time. Now the white noises are gone.
With a good dozen of apps available, we were lucky enough to come across this app. It is reliable, fast and packed with features at just a few bucks. We love the motion and audio alerts, it is super sensitive it is actually configurable! The find the two way audio and the ability to change lighting or play songs remotely particularly useful!
The ability to link it up with iCloud and watch remotely is amazingly well built for a seamlessly experience. All in all, we highly recommend it. If we could suggest anything, we would ask for 2 enhancements, but they would be great add-one but does not knock off any stars from this review whatsoever!
My wife and I purchased this app since I hear nothing but bad reviews about regular hand held video monitors and their apps. Since I work at night from time to time and sometimes my wife can be in a deep sleep I wanted an option so I can see the baby while I'm at work and be notified if he's awake. This app does all of that and lets me have peace of mind in case I need to call and wake her up. I love that I can upload any music I want to play for him, control volume and control light when looking at him at night.
Obviously phones don't have night vision but using the front facing camera lets you use the brightness of the screen as the light during the evening hours and it allows for a very very dim or bright light that doesn't wake the baby. I look forward to future updates to this app.

I am not kidding. We have 2 kids and the younger one who is most trusted by everyone in our nuclear and extended family just went haywire. Steve, sorry to hear about your daughter getting caught up in all this. I agree with your statement, even good kids can get caught up in questionable behaviors. You keep secrets from your children, you kept secrets from your parents.
When parents get all upset with their children for lying or keeping secrets it is because they have to because of your reaction, which will most likely not be pretty. My daughter hides nothing from me because even if I disagree with her I would never judge her and I allow her to do most things she wants to do and she is a very healthy young lady.
All of you need parenting lessons. I simply offer information that might be useful to parents who are trying to figure these things out. Get down off your high horse and start being a real Parent. I cannot imagine that pain. We will now get her the help she needs, and I will monitor her phone activity. The worst thing we might do is sneak out a window and go to a party or meet up with friends. It really is so hard for parents to know just what level of monitoring or any at all is appropriate, and at what age. My sensible, never been home late, clever, smart, 14yo daughter got caught up in this world of peer pressure and ended up in a terrible state. I trusted her totally and when I finally hacked her instagram I was devastated by what I found.

Which apps handle wifi and incognito browsing? My daughter was friended by an adult male on her secret from parents fb page. He started sending and requesting graphic inappropriate photos and videos right away. She asked if it was illegal because she was a minor then proceeded to send them. We discovered and stopped it, but months later my husband had a dream and we checked at her school and she had managed to bypass the system and get in on her assigned laptop. We have other children at home — he could have been a trafficker!
We reported it all to the police. Most of the parental controls listed here , when in use, will prevent Incognito browsing. Some go even further and allow you to block any FB activity or other activity at certain times of day. Others such as uKnowKids can be used to allow Facebook but view activity and be notified of any potential issues. My other list of parental controls that cover every device in the home is also worth a look because they can apply settings to all Wifi activity without having to install things on each device, and some can different setting for different family members.
